what we do

Don’t Guess the Yes is a campaign and work programme that aims to change attitudes and behaviours towards alcohol consumption and sexual consent. Our messaging is aimed at those aged between 18 and 30 years but resonates across ages, boundaries and borders..

WHAT WE ARE DOING

The Don’t Guess the Yes team works with the Hospitality industry to make our city a better place to be. We conduct industry workshops with their staff to discuss the issues around the PREVENTION, INTERVENTION and RESPONSE to incidents of sexual harm.

We work with our universities to engage sex-positive messaging with strong advice around consent to our new and existent body.

At key times of the year we have a strong presence in the CBD; think Christmas time and the festive period, O-Week and at music, beer and food festivals.

WHAT WE HAVE DELIVERED

We engage in social and mainstream media to get our message across with evolving content to keep pace with a changing environment.

Look for our posters, billboards, t-shirts and social media. Share our message. Continue the kōrero. Be a good bystander when you see things that don’t look right.  Make changes to your attitudes and behaviours towards alcohol consumption; encourage your mates to do the same. DON’T GUESS THE YES!
